The dimensions assumed by the publishing business, enriched also by the Nuovo Quotidiano di Puglia, lead, in 1999, to the birth of Caltagirone Editore and the following year to its listing on the Stock Exchange

2004
The Group continues its expansion and founded the free press Leggo in 2001, which soon exceeds 2 million average readers per day. In 2004 the Group acquired Corriere Adriatico, one of the oldest Italian newspapers and leader in Le Marche region

2006
The Group acquires control of Il Gazzettino of Venice, a leading newspaper in Triveneto, leading to the present structure

The Group consolidates its presence in the Italian publishing market by investing in the graphic restyling of newspapers, launching online editions of all newspapers and transforming Leggo into the first Italian social press
